This year we will be investigating and studying three main areas of Earth Science: Geology (Earth's landforms), Astronomy (space), and Meteorology (weather).  My main goal for students this year is to give them information in a meaningful and fun way so that they will retain what they learned with a greater appreciation for the Earth and the subject of Science. 

We are currently using the Astronomy text book and will be learning more about the Earth in space, the moon, the sun, planets, and deep space.  Astronomy is very interesing and a lot of fun but can be very abstract and challenging!  Please remember to ask questions and participate in class and to stay for remedial if you need a little extra help. 

Our quarterly project will be based on the planets in our solar system.  You will be challeneged to create a detailed and interesting 'Flip Flap Fact Book' with a page for each planet.  In addition the material will have to be presented in a way that other students you own age would want to read and learn about it. 

I look foward to guiding you as you discover more about outer space.  I also want to say that I welcome any information (credible sources only) that you have regarding Astronomy.
