Yearly Plan in different subject areas:
There are 8 theme units in our Open Court Language Arts curriculum.  We study each unit thoroughly for approximately 1-2 months.  The units are as follows:  School, Shadows, Finding Friends, The Wind, Teamwork, Red, White & Blue, Stick to It, and The Sea.

In Math, we follow the district approved Houghton Mifflin Math series workbook.  There are 10 chapters in the math workbook.  We complete each chapter sequentially.

Weekly Homework:
Homework packets are sent home weekly.  Homework packets reflect current class work.  Homework is sent home every Friday and are due back on the following Thursday.

Students are also required to read with their parents each night for 20 minutes and record the titles of their stories onto the monthly Read-Aloud form.  Read-Aloud forms are sent home at the beginning of each month and are due back at the end of the month.  They are included in the homework grade.
