Hello and welcome to Mrs. Aslinger's home page! 

I wanted to take a moment and tell you a little bit about myself. I was born in Kingsport, TN but  I moved to Chattanooga in 1998 and love the area.  I graduated from UTC with my undergraduate degree with a BS in Secondary English Education and an endorsement in ESL.  Also, I earned my Master's degree at UTC as a Reading Specialist.  
 
In my spare time I like reading, traveling, and cooking.  Two summers ago my husband and a group of friends took a trip to Italy.  We went to Rome and Florence.  It was outstanding! 

My husband is a teacher at Sale Creek High School. Taylor, my son, is a 6th grader at CSAS. (It is hard for him to speak improper English at home:)   

Daily I try to cover grammar, reading, and writing.  Three very important things in English.  Also, I believe that high school  (particularly 9th grade) is a vital part of life.  I try to allow the student to take responsibility as much as possible.  The student can use this website to gather missing work if they are sick, didn't understand, or even forgot the assignment.  Also, it may be a good conversation piece at dinner because I update the assignments every day.
