Message from Mrs. Davis:

 

Welcome to the 2005-2006 school year.  I’m looking forward to an exciting and successful year.

 

A Little About Mrs. Davis:

I have been a third grade teacher for ten years at Monte Vista Elementary School.  When I was a teacher at Baldwin Park Junior High School, I taught sixth grade for two years. 

 

I have been married thirty years, and I have three older daughters and three grandchildren.  I have two teaching credentials: a Clear Standard Secondary Teaching Credential and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.        

 

Class Schedule:

7:40-8:00 a.m.- Take Attendance/Lunch Count

8:00-9:30a.m.-Open Court Reading Program

9:30-10:00a.m.- Spelling/Comprehension/ Cursive Handwriting

10:05-10:20a.m.- Recess

10:20a.m.-11:20a.m.-Math

11:20a.m.-12:05p.m.- Lunch

12:05p.m.-12:45p.m.-Silent Sustained Reading/Book Reports

12:45p.m.-1:30p.m.- Science/Social Studies

1:30p.m.-1:45p.m.-  Pass Out Homework and  Dismissal

 

Class Motto:

“Be the best that you can be.” Develop good skills, be responsible for your own actions, be respectful to others, work hard in school, and try hard.

 

School Projects for this Year:

  • Plant Project
  • Discover the Solar System Project
  • 10 Page written Animal Report with bibliography, cover page, and table of contents

Class Announcements:

The students are always ready to obey our classroom rules, be respectful, listen to instructions, and aspire to achieve their best.


February 14th- Valentine's  Party
 

Daily Classroom Includes:

Class work includes: Reading, Language, Comprehension, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Writing. If class work is not finished in class, students need to finish it at home for homework.
