Classroom Policies
Water bottles with sport tops will be allowed in the classroom. Please, no frozen water.
All homework is due the following day, unless specified.
Homework is assigned at the end of each day and copied down on their homework charts.
Every night's homework may be found at www.yourhomework.com
Each month, new calendars are given with important dates highlighted, including test dates.
Social Studies takes place on Monday and Tuesday afternoons.
Science takes place on Thursday and Friday afternoons.
Wednesdays are early dismissal days; students are dismissed at 12:50P.M.
Tickets are given as rewards for good efforts and the class store is opened every Friday.
Grading Policy
Completed homework that is turned in on time will be given full credit.
All late assignments will either receive 65%, 50%, or 0% depending on how late the assignment is.
You will receive detailed information about the grading policy at Back-To-School-Night.
Please contact Mrs. Sykeh for a copy of the grading policy.
Updated grade sheets containing your child's specific grades and tests will be sent home every other Tuesday.
Please sign and return them the following day.
P.E. / Library / Computer Lab Rotation
This occurs every Wednesday from 11:00-11:45A.M.
If your child needs to be excused from physical activity due to injury, please send a note in the morning.
Fun Friday
Students accumulate "Fun Friday" minutes throughout the week with good effort, teamwork, and behavior.
Fun Friday occurs during the last part of the day, on the last day of the week.
Students may bring board games to school, and enjoy some quality time together in class.
Please, no electronic toys or games.
I hope this year in Fourth Grade will be educational and enjoyable for everyone.
